Airports
Three major airports are located within 70 miles of UC Santa Cruz:• San Jose International Airport (SJC)

Airport Transportation
Airport shuttles are the easiest way to travel to UC Santa Cruz. Reservations are required, so be sure to book your shuttle before you arrive. UC Santa Cruz recommends the following company:Early Bird Airport Shuttle

Driving Directions to UC Santa Cruz
From the San Francisco Airport
• Highway 101 South, toward San Jose
• Highway 880 South which later becomes Highway 17 and winds through the mountains. The road becomes a mountain freeway.
• Highway 17 becomes Highway 1 when you reach Santa Cruz.
• Stay on Highway 1, following the signs toward Half Moon Bay. Highway 1 will no longer be a freeway, but will become a city street as you take a right turn onto Mission Street.
• Turn right onto Bay Street (look for MacDonald's on the left, the next right turn will be Bay Street).
• Follow Bay Street to the entrance of campus at the intersection of Bay and High Streets. Enter the campus. The main kiosk is a short distance on the right.From the San Jose Airport

**Feel free to stop at the Parking Kiosk at the base of campus if you have any questions about getting to the check-in building. Staff will be available to answer any questions, and can provide you with additional campus maps.**
• UCSC Campus Map• Enter the campus by the main entrance at Bay Street. Bay Street will become "Coolidge Drive."
• Turn left at the second light, which is Hagar Dr. Go about 2 miles. Hagar will dead end at McLaughlin Drive.
• Turn left onto McLaughlin Drive.
• Drive through the next stop sign (at Chinquapin Drive) and prepare to make the next right hand turn. Look for the "College Nine / Social Sciences 1" sign.
• Turn into College 9. If you drive past the "flashing red light" you've gone too far.
• Follow the road to Parking Lot 166. There is a 10 minute parking area where the shuttle driver can drop you off, or you can park there briefly while you check-in. The Central Conference Office (where you will check-in) is within walking distance.
• The Central Conference Office is located in the "College Nine Residential Hall 2" building. Look for Apt. #2231.

On-Campus
Free on-campus shuttles operate M-F, 7:30am - 6:00pm, every 15 minutes. Weeknight service will run along perimeter routes every 30 minutes until 10:00pm. There is no weekend shuttle service.Off-Campus
The Santa Cruz METRO services all of Santa Cruz County. The adult fare on most METRO buses is $2.00/ride or $6.00/day pass, exact change required. Below are routes that start at the Main METRO Station, continue to the UC Santa Cruz Campus and end where they began, at the Main METRO Station. College 9/10 has its own METRO bus stop located on McLaughlin Drive.Westside and University Routes

• Route 19 - University via Lower Bay **Best Route to take if you want to go the SC Beach Boardwalk or the Santa Cruz Wharf**

Explore the campus with many hiking trails & serene look-out points. Exercise at the Wellness Center. The swimming pool, weight room, racquetball, outdoor track, tennis and basketball courts may be used by guests when the facilities are not in use by sports camps.
