BioWEST and PhysWEST
September 15th-17th, 2008
BioWEST…
- Will present incoming biological science transfer students with knowledge of important concepts in biology, learned while engaging in real processes of science.
- Participants will learn about internships, research, and various other opportunities here at UCSC.
- Students will also learn how to navigate the advising system in the biology departments.
- Offers a chance for participants to meet other incoming transfers sharing their interests.

PhysWEST…
- Will present incoming physical science transfer students with knowledge of the physical concepts applicable to a wide range of disciplines while engaging in the real process of science.
- Participants will learn about internships, research, and various other opportunities here at UCSC.
- Offers a chance for participants to meet other incoming transfers sharing their interests.

The Monday Night Dinner and Introduction will be held in the CfAO Atrium from 5pm-8pm.
September 16-17
A continental breakfast and coffee will be provided for all WEST participants in EMS A340.
September 16-17
BioWEST - class will be held in EMS A340.
September 16-17
PhysWEST – class will be held in Thimann 115 and Thimann 121.
